I've been trying to read to find my answer, but can't find it definitively. With this software will I be able to change the oil calibration if its not where I want it? I fully intend on using xd100 and am thinking it should be set that way. Motor is an 07 115etec. I'll be sure to add model and serial number to my profile as soon as I get back to the boat. I got the sw through this site.@ Donnie: i sent you a PMI made the cable my self, based on this:Be aware that only older laptops has a 9 pin COM Port. Digi-Key and Allied Electronics also have the parts but they're both a little more expensive.
Mouser's shipping cost is usually less for me as well.Amphenol makes a compatible quality plug that can be found for significantly less than the Deutsch plug. In that 99% of it is looking at data, temps, codes, etc. I am by no means any kind of expert by any stretch.

My background is in the automotive field, and this looks similar. I can understand a manufacturer not wanting folks to mess with stuff, but it doesn't take a lot of reading on this site to see that a lot of these dealers can be few and far between. I would imagine it would help consumers and techs alike to have all the information they could to try to troubleshoot a motor before having to haul it all over the place in case it is a simple fix. I'm sure there are calibration updates and so forth for these engines(I have no idea for sure or the frequency of updates either) and the manufacturer can have tight reigns on that.Sorry for rambling on.SN-05182666MN-E115DPLSUC115 etec07 Sweetwater 2386sport tri-toon.
