Event Calendar:.Filter by Flair. I would like to know how well you guys are able to get these 2 lovely games running on the Rift. I have a CV1 I'm trying to get this working on.For myself, I can get 30-50 FPS MAYBE and that's with everything turned off.

The judder is too much to enjoy right now. It's strange because a lot of people seem to be claiming near perfect performance.I'm able to run Project Cars with some Anti Aliasing and a few options turned on, and i meet the required 90 FPS. But I just can't get smooth fps, no way no how on American Truck Simulator. I haven't purchased the Euro version yet.GTX 980 stock or maybe +10% (at work can't check)i7-5820k @ 4ghzWindows 10Thanks for reading!.

I'm surprised, you have a very similar spec to my own, and it works well, even in Ultra (I am using a DK2, but the performance should still be solid with the CV1).When you get home, can you post your config.cfg file, found in: C:UsersDocumentsAmerican Truck SimulatorEdit: The other thing I would suggest, as long as you don't use Nvidia game profiles, is to reset your graphics card driver's 3D Settings - to be sure, reinstall the latest (364.72), but use the Custom (Advanced) option, and select Perform a clean installation:. I played ETS:2 in the DK2, and now play ATS with the CV1.

They updated ETS:2 quite a bit over time, and eventually, the only place I dropped frames was in cities. Other than that, it was at a pretty consistent 75 FPS. That was with an R9 280X.

Now, I have a GTX 980, and have only played ATS with it, and my FPS rarely goes above 70. There's no 'judder', but you can see that the FPS is low. As far as I can tell, performance isn't nearly as good in ATS as ETS:2, and I think a lot of people think the FPS is fine because they don't see the judder, due to I am assuming ATW (time warp).

I'm hoping they can squeeze some more performance out of ATS. I've been meaning to go back and try ETS:2 and compare the FPS. I may do that tomorrow.

You might find better fidelity (and performance) in VR, if you set Scaling to 100%, and instead increase the size of the pre-render buffer:Edit the config.cfg file found in C:UsersDocumentsEuro Truck Simulator 2C:UsersDocumentsAmerican Truck SimulatorThe line you want to edit is: uset rmanualstereobufferscale '1.0'Experiment with higher values. With the DK2 and a 980, I've managed to increase to 1.3 on Ultra (simple graphic setting), without any decrease in performance. However, due to the game being built with DX9 (in a DX11 wrapper), for my setup, ATW was needed.Obviously these settings will vary with the CV1 (higher res/fps) and your graphics card. Also disable the Depth of Field (DOF) in the advanced Graphics options - it just blurs objects in the distance.
